HI. I can’t seem to get the RSS feeds to work. I am trying. It works with the default RSS in WordPress, but not in this one. Any thoughts?

Don’t see any problem. Please check your feed in our sidebar in 7feeds widget.

Huh, I see it working here. But it’s not on my site. Same feed. Is there some kind of setting i need to do?

This is what I have pasted into the feed url:
It says optional, how could it be? What is the actual feed?
Thanks much!!

Hi,
Last time here, but the html looks and works great when I just copy and paste it from here: http://7feeds.com/page2.html
But when using the installed Widget on my sidebar, it does not seem to work. Think that might be the issue.

Ok, will try to check this. Are you using the latest version 1.03?

Also, please try another feeds in your widget – are they worked? For example, the feed of your own blog.
November 8th, 2009 at 6:49 PM
Yes, 1.03. I’ve tried others as well, no luck. DOn’t mean to be a pain here, but that’s the only thing i can see is the Widget vs. the actual code pasted in.

Seems you don’t have “mbstring” and “curl” libs installed on your server. Please check with your server admin.
We will add an installation validator in next version.

Hi!
I like this widget, very useful.
Works nice, except 1 thing: does only display the feed from one website, regardless how many feeds I put in the settings.
Any idea?
Thank you!

You should add a feeds in widget settings, not in plugin settings. Plugin settings feeds are only shown by default (if no feeds in widget are specified).

Hi i’m using 7feed with the latest WP, putting multiple feeds in.
Works fine, until I increase the number of items, then it stops.
March 26th, 2010 at 12:43 PM
How do you increase the number of items? What do you mean by “items”? Please explain further…
How it stop works?

hey, I added the plugin last night and it worked great. This morning, no feed.. upgraded the plug in… no feed.. changed and added feeds, no feed.
March 30th, 2010 at 6:16 PM
nevermind… it seems the feed that I had in it last night now has a bug that shuts down your widget… if I clear it out and add others it’s fine.

It looks nice, but it’s not showing the month in the date under the entry. I’m pulling down a fairly complex Yahoo Pipe (), with the date in the format Thu, 15 Apr 2010 05:00:00 -0700. The entries show up with just DD YYYY HH:MM
April 16th, 2010 at 10:16 AM
Actually, RSS feed intended to show the latest news from the site. In case if a record posted several months ago, this is already not an news event actually. So we figured that month isn’t necessary. Any opinions?
April 16th, 2010 at 6:46 PM
I’m seeing things like 08.2010 10:08:00, which isn’t intuitive. August? Also if you don’t need the month, why the year? But then you’re left with just one number, and that is really cryptic. Plus, what happens around the first of the month?
April 16th, 2010 at 6:55 PM
In short, I’d vote for showing the date.
April 16th, 2010 at 6:56 PM
showing the month, I mean.
April 17th, 2010 at 10:03 AM
OK, we will add date template in the next version of plugin!

Hello thanks for the widget is veeeeery useful and good looking
I’m using the wp widget and….
I’m having trouble displaying more than 10 items, when i put more than 11 items to display, it stops scrolling. Can I put more than 11 items to display from the rss source? like 50?
I’m also confused with the configuration.. should configure the widget or the general settings? or both with the same settings?
thank you in advance

If you install widget with default settings – will be used default settings of the plugin. If you change something in widget settings – will be used its own settings then.
About number of items to display – we will check this, it could be a bug. I will inform in a week if it was fixed.
